Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching
“What is professional coaching?”
Coaching is a partnership process. The coach stands for you having your ideal life, not their vision of an ideal life for you. She/he supports you, believes in you, encourages you and provides the support to help you achieve your dreams in your career and life. Click here for more information about career and life coaching.
“I’ve tried books, tapes and even career counselors. How is the process different?”
First, our approach is based on your personal needs and goals, which are key to having a fulfilling life. This is a fully integrated process. We look at all the parts that make up who you are and match options and plans accordingly. Then we partner with you to create more fulfillment in your life and career.
Second, coaches hold you accountable for moving forward in your life, whereas a book or tape or seminar does not. We also work with you to deal with life as it comes up. We partner together to handle obstacles, blocks and glitches as they occur so you don’t get stopped by them. We also look with you at current behaviors and patterns that are standing in the way of your success and shift them in a way that empowers you to move forward. The process is both introspective and action-oriented. It is present and future focused vs. therapy which helps heal your past.
“What is your success rate?”
The success rate of this process depends on your readiness and willingness to look inside and do whatever it takes to get to where you want to go. Sometimes there are fears and blocks to overcome. Of the people who are willing to allow the process to be uncomfortable at times and do whatever it takes, 95% are able to gain clarity and meet their goals and many go far beyond that to reach levels of success and personal growth beyond what they first thought was possible.
“Can you help me get past fears and blocks?”
Most of the time we can. This is one of the most important reasons to use a coach. In addition to using coaching tools, Stacey also uses other techniques such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Eidetic Imagery. These tools are very useful in helping people release fears, anxieties and disempowering beliefs that stand in the way of their progress.
“Will you find a job for me?”
No. We do not find a job for you. We will, however, guide you in the process of how to research, network and put together a resume that will aid you in your career transition.
“What kinds of people are CBL clients?”
This service has been used effectively by all kinds of people — from executives to creatives to professionals to entrepreneurs, from students to mid-lifers.
“How effective is coaching over the phone?” Telephone coaching has been proven to be extremely effective. People tend to be even more open when they are in an anonymous atmosphere such as the phone. The more open a client is, the more effective the process.
“How long does the process take?” This varies with each individual. We ask that you commit to a minimum of 3-4 months of coaching to experience real benefits. The average client works with us for 6 months and those who get the most value from partnering with a coach may work with us for a year or more as they continue to pursue new goals and avenues of personal growth.
“How much does it cost?”
Current rates range from $450 – $650 per month and are payable on a monthly basis.
“Can you guarantee me it will work for me?”
We can guarantee you that this process will open the door and you will learn some things for yourself that you had not seen before. How far you take it, is up to you. We are here to guide you, ask you the questions you wouldn’t ask yourself, uncover your talents and gifts as well as blind spots, help you move past your fears and blocks and even hold you accountable to making your dream a reality.
